R2-d2

Once again, I find myself reporting on a other piece of Star Wars merchandise. Last time, it was the Millennium Falcon bed, and now it is this Ultimate R2-D2 statue. The statue is a 1:6 model of everyone’s favorite astromech droid, and it is hand-painted and stamped with a “limited edition” label. [...]

It's a gloomy, cold Monday morning. The stress of the holidays is in full swing and that holiday break for many of you is still over a week away. Youch. So that's what would happen if HP built astromech droids. Can't say I blame Leia, those error messages make me want to break something, too. Though maybe a lightsaber would've looked more dignified than the baseball bat. [Abstruse Goose]  

At last, here's the droid we were all looking for. In this frame you can clearly see R2-D2's cameo in JJ Abrams' Star Trek. This time there's absolutely no doubt about it: It's been confirmed by ILM. I'm adding the Star Wars R2-D2 Trash Can to my Christmas wish list. The office sized trash can is an incredibly detailed replica of R2-D2. Just step on R2's center "foot" and its dome swings wide to collect your trash. There's even a smaller desktop version too!
