With strick attention to developing our student’s basic education skills in the context of the highest standards of academic excellence, suitable for one to confidently sit for high stake exams(ie. SAT/ACT and MCATs, LSATs), we simutaneously advance the psycho-emotional healing and spiritual upliftment of our people by providing KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM AND OVERSTANDING of the historo-cultural, socio-political and psycho-educational experiences of Africans in America in away that RADICALLY REAPPRAISES EDUCATION from the pained and angry perspective of the oppressed black community.
WHY WE NEED TO DO THIS:
With the present day high rates of Black on Black homicide, suicide, and imprisonment and a rise in single-parent homes, rampant police brutality, unprecedented unemployment, and Blacks use of popular (ENEMY) culture (through music, video games and popular movies) to celebrate "anti-intellectualism, ignorance, irresponsible parenthood, drunkenness, dope dealing, weed smoking, cocaine, x-pills, loose sexual behavior and criminal lifestyles / thuggism"; we have chose to design a curriculum that, rather than getting caught up in the entertainment / BLACKPLOTATION aspects of hip hop/rap, will use hip hop/rap within a historo-cultural, socio-political and psycho-educational framework to address these various death walks forthrightly. Our new methodological style is intended to get our young people to begin to think critically about themselves, their world and their role as people of Afrikan descent.
WHERE WE ARE AND WHERE WE WANNA GO:
This work is a comprehensive (but only a core framework) sequenced survey of subjects and topics that have confronted Afrikans in America throughout our 246 years of chattel slavery, 100 years of aparthied and only “one generation of freedom” here in America. I like to describe the school as a “cultural development and leadership training communiversity”. From our research, we have determined that the idea of Sankofa, which means "We must go back and reclaim our past so we can move forward; so we understand why and how we came to be who we are today", really encompasses the whole Afrikan-centered ideal. Nonetheless, as this is a work in evolution and always under construction, we have chosen to focus our teaching/learning journey most directly on the past 45 years of our struggle for human and civil rights—
THE THEME “THE MORE THINGS CHANGE, THE MORE THINGS STAY THE SAME, WE NEED A REVOLUTION, THE SYSTEM AIN’T GONA CHANGE UNLESS WE MAKE IT CHANGE”.
The content and character of the curriculum is Afrikan-centered and the goal is academic excellence in persuit of black power. We tease out the social, political, economic and moral imparatives of black power in the 21st century by zooming in on two povital questions throughout our course of study:

I.Spirituality and the Psycho-Affective Domain
SPIRITUAL AWARENESS
Aim: To transmit the knowledge of Afrikan spiritual tradition, and develop an appreciation for tradition and the ability to apply the major principles to self, family and community
MORAL CONSCIOUSNESS
Aim: To foster an understanding and willingness to be guided by those principles that characterize the righteous and just person
FAMILY AS BASIC SPIRITUAL AND MORAL UNIT
Aim: To develop ail understanding and appreciation for the dynamics affecting the Afrikan family; to recognize its centrality to . the Afrikan nationality, and work to revitalize it
SELF-KNOWLEDGE PRACTICE
Aim: To facilitate the achievement of total knowledge of self as a unique extension ofthe collective, defined by the collective and committed to it
ANCESTRAL VENERATION
Aim: To facilitate the acquisition and valuing of the wisdom of the ancestors; and to foster a commitment to restore their works and make those works even better than before

THE PRIMACY OF AFRIKAN CIVILIZATION AND THE AFRIKAN ORIGIN OF THE HUMAN SPECIES
Aim: To develop and inform a complete and more comprehensive historical consciousness, from antiquity to the contemporary, that will be the basis for Afrikan unity and development

Aim: To develop an awareness and sensitivity to the dynamics of white supremacy. To facilitate the development of personal and collective strategies to counteract the effects of racism/white supremacy
III. Socio-Political and Economic Domain
PAN AFRIKAN POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC UNITY, COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT
Aim: To instill commitment to developing Pan Afrikan cultural, political and economic unity and cooperation.
AFRIKAN AMERICAN NATIONALITY
Aim: To foster the commitment to the development of an organized, unified, productive and dynamic nationality of Afrikans in America
NATIONAL AND COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP
Aim: To develop an awareness of the necessary qualities of leadership and to inculcate those necessary values and skills of leadership that are essential to the liberation and development of Afrikan people
Aim: To develop a sensitivity and commitment to eliminate any behaviors typical of sexism and sexual exploitation.
DEMOCRATIC PLURALITY OF RACIAL/ETHNIC NATIONALITIES IN THE AMERICAN POLITICAL ECONOMY
Aim: To foster a profound awareness of the psychic and constitutional entrenchment of white racial/ethnic supremacy in the U.S. and to advance the Afrikan nationality within the "nation of nations" that the American political economy in fact is.
HUMAN AND CIVIL RIGHTS
Aim: To foster an awareness of one of the higher goals of social activism, the creation of a world order that is culturally pluralistic and truly democratic, equalitarian, and just
IMPEDIMENTS
Aim: To inculcate a clear understanding of the historical impediments to Afrikan liberation and development, and further to provide a clear criteria for identifying and handling those less obvious impediments to the advancement of the race
INSTITUTIONAL AND NATIONHOOD GOALS
Aim: To foster a clear understanding of our mission to build the institutional infrastructure of an independent nationality (Nationhood), and to foster a conscious commitment and conduct to advance the New Afrikan Nation and Afrikan race toward independence and freedom, and the human race toward greater humanity

RBG Curricular Domains Outline
RBG Street Scholars Think Tank is horizontally,vertically and concentrically integreted; so one learns / teaches multiple domains simutanously, as against a linear subject curriculum.

The five curricular domains provide the basis for the organization of the subject content within the RBG Street Scholars Think Tanks various curricula. Each curricular domain consists of one or more curriculum fields. The curriculum fields provide the actual structural basis for RBG’s organization and presentation of subject matter within the curriculum. The purpose of listing the several fields under the curricular domains is to establish their relationships with the assumptions and aims of the ACTI (Afrikan Centered Thematic Inventory) above.
