Let us hope that Jeffrey Simpson was wrong when he wrote in The Globe and Mail a couple of weeks ago that the CBC had alienated its audience so much that few would come to its defence: "Beleaguered CBC should ask itself: Who cares?" That’s not surprising given the way the list--to be sent to the new president for his iPod and exercise enjoyment--was set up. Even the CBC admits it: the new programming on Radio Two haven’t worked miracles in increasing its listernership according to the most recent BBM ratings. As a regular listener of the current affairs and comedy output of Radio Four (along with the rest of my family) I've been thinking about the station's interactivity. BBC Listen Again, like the iplayer, is excellent. Unlike 4OnDemand, it requires no downloads and therefore can be used from any machine.
