Accompanied by his old friend Sallah and ex-flame Marion Ravenwood, he must retrieve the ark before the Nazis and his adversary, French archaeologist Rene Belloq acquire it first.

Over 60 playable characters include Sallah, Mola Ram, Marion Ravenvvood, Short Round, Marcus Brodyi, & Toht. To appeal to t.he family friendly spirit of t.he toy series, Nazi references & symbols vvere removed in favor of a generic "cult" dressed in trench coat.s.
