Ralph Macchio is an Italian American actor, most famous for his role as Daniel LaRusso in the Karate Kid series.
The Karate Kid - All Grown Up
In 1984 Ralph Macchio starred in The Karate Kid - a role for which he will forever be linked. The 1984 drama was directed by John G. Avildsen, written by Robert Mark Kamen, and starred Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita and Elisabeth Shue. A martial arts film and an underdog story in the mold of a previous Avildsen success, the 1976 boxing film Rocky, it was a commercial success upon first release. (photo © 1984 Columbia Pictures)
