1. 'Crash' (2006)
The weaving of multiple story lines was beautifully executed by director Paul Haggis, as is the powerful message about race relations in the United States. Our only problem is that it sometimes felt like the point of the movie was too belabored in the dialogue, which took away from the fine acting of stars like Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle, and standout Matt Dillon. There can sometimes be a fine line between showing and telling. We wish the movie did more of the former.
