We're all well aware of the ugliness of racism, ageism, sexism and homophobia, but did you know that so-called 'gingers' - people with red, orange, or strawberry blond hair, are victims of 'gingerism' and being targeted by bullies for something so benign as their hair colour? Likely all of us have heard the jokes at one time or another, it's the one 'ism' that seems to be widely accepted as okay to indulge in, as if those with flame-tinted hair are somehow intrinsically different and therefore deficient and deserving of ridicule. But lately things have taken a more grievous turn: Facebook groups initiated and ... Read Full Story

Here's a law every state should have on its books: Anyone convicted of murdering his or her spouse should not be allow to marry again. What's the difference between pro wrestling and a three-ring circus? Answer: Two rings! I'm constantly finding new ways to accidentally inflict physical pain on myself. Whenever someone tells me something like, ".....that's the way it is in my book", I respond by saying, "I haven't read your book, I'm waiting for the movie!" People who are violently aggressive and intimidating are the lowest of the low. Thieves are a close second. Never type out anything when you can easily ... Read Full Story

I've been cooped up indoors for the last 48 hours, recovering from my over-indulgence this weekend -- so I decided to go to Plantation Heritage Park , not far from my apartment. I took the photos above with my iPhone. I've ... Read Full Story

E ye sometimes see lots of little things that get under my skin… Not enough to make up a full blog—but rather just enough bits and pieces to aggravate me… So, let’s get to the rants…. MIGHT AS WELL JUMP….. We’ve seen what happened to the original concept of the Wall Street bailout… The people who convinced us it was needed immediately to save the banks suddenly reversed course.. In the meantime, everybody whose ever wanted a government handout from the auto industry to cities like Phoenix, Atlanta and Philadelphia have put their hand out demanding a piece of the action… The latest whiner— ... The reason the Jags are not selling tickets has nothing to do with the race of the quarterback. It has everything to do with the recession and the cost to attend a game. It would not hurt either if the Jags had a good team and a good record. Jags fans are fickle and will only attend when they are winning. By the way, Byron [Leftwich] packed the stadium. Rave: Aaron Rodgers showed off his cannon arm on the last play of the first quarter when he unleashed a pass that carried slightly more than 70 yards in the air. Rodgers let fly with the bomb from his 20 and it came down near the Lions 10-yard line into the arms of Donald Driver. The official gain was 68 yards, the Packers scored on the next play and never trailed again.

The big, bad conservatives are shaking in their cowboy boots over [Khalid Sheikh Mohammed] coming to NYC. I thought it was the lefties who were the cowards. Wrong again! You don't hear them crying over his certain demise. Bring him on, try him and execute him. The sooner, the better! Liberals are not running for cover; they are ready for the fight. Let the families of his victims revel in the glory of his death. Let's give him the opportunity...
