Jessica Simpson’s Grand Rapids Concert Meltdown

Jessica Simpson’s Grand Rapids concert meltdown news is making the rounds today. Apparently, Jessica Simpson got rattled because boyfriend Tony Romo missed his flight and didn’t show for her concert.

Jessica Simpson performed a 38-minute set opening for Rascal Flatts, during which she commented, “I’m so excited, I get to see my boyfriend tomorrow. He’s the person who makes me relax.”

The Jessica Simpson Grand Rapids concert meltdown featured such oops as stopping mid-song during “With You,” losing her place/forgetting lyrics during songs, making the band start over and having problems with her ear monitors. She commented that “it’s difficult to be on stage and be so vulnerable.”

Jessica Simpson later told the crowd that she felt like walking off the stage… and when she did exit, she appeared to be wiping away tears.

Today, Jessica Simpson is explaining her Grand Rapids concert behavior, saying she had an “off night.”

Simpon’s rep told TMZ: “Jessica had an off night. She’s a perfectionist and wanted to start some songs over. She always wants to give the best performance for her fans.”
