The idea is, at it's simplest, that good is rewarded and evil punished. Or more practically put: selfishness is punished and unselfishness rewarded. I was listening to a Book on CDs entitled “Eat, Pray, Live, by Elizabeth Gilbert. She was telling a story about an Ashram she staying at to help her spirituality.
