Jumpstart's Read for the Record is an early education program that encourages adults to read to children.
On Oct. 8, volunteers across the country read to preschool students to break the world record for the most children reading the same book with an adult on the same day for Jumpstart's Read for the Record.
On that day, UConn Jumpstart Corps members read to two preschool classes at the university's Child Development Labs.
