Utah Ranks 7th Nationally for Foreclosures in August
Nationally the rate of Foreclosure Filings doesn’t appear to be improving according to RealtyTrac. For August, the number of actual foreclosures where properties became REOs actually decreased, but there was an increase in the number of homes going into default and scheduled for trustee sales.
During August, Utah ranked 7th nationally in Foreclosure Filings. Utah had 1,308 notices of default filed, and 1,129 trustee sales scheduled. Foreclosure filings in Utah were more than double what they were during August of last year. 1 of every 282 Utah Homes received a foreclosure notice last month.
