Former England captain David Beckham has joined up with the Arsenal squad as part of his pre-season training regime. Beckham does this to keep him fit for a chance to play for England for 100th cap under his former boss at REAL MADRID, Fabio Capello. I salute him for his resolve and wish him all the best. U.S.’s soccer season has long ended and BECKHAM just needs a place to ensure that he’s good enough for England’s International football matches. The reason why DAVID BECKHAM is training with ARSENAL and not MANCHESTER UNITED , his former club is because its training ground London Colney ... Read Full Story

Historic result for Spanish team GETAFE tonight after drawing with German giants BAYERN MUNICH 1-1 in the 1ºleg of the UEFA CUP Q/Finals. Getafe had an awesome task beforehand, away & in front of the home crowd, & were clear underdogs in front of such a team full of stars, but Getafe are in the Q/Finals for logical & correct reasons & they proved that to everyone tonight. Bayern Munich scored first thanks to its Italian striker TONI (above) in the 25th min, but it was then that Getafe rolled up its sleeves & went to work. Bayern were clearly the stronger side, but ... There are only two ways David Beckham could have handled his omission from Fabio Capello's first-team roster: either belligerently attack Capello's decision by kicking balls at a full-size cutout of the Italian, or concede defeat and assume the role of has-been. Okay, maybe he's not a "has-been" yet, but, well...the argument can seriously be made. David Beckham wrote on his blog (weeee!) that his admiration for Capello hasn't receded, stating that he agrees completely with the former Real Madrid coach's decision. "I am sure you will have read a lot of Mr. Capello's call to leave me out of the squad, but in truth ... Read Full Story

RUBEN DE LA RED , 22 year old Spanish midfielder who plays in GETAFE , was called up last Saturday to form part of the list of Spanish players to represent his country in the upcoming International friendly game against ITALY next Wednesday night in Elche (Spain). Grand achievement, as he was "rejected" this season by his long time club REAL MADRID were he was a junior & a B -side player. De La Red jumped to the señior side last year & after a few "try outs" could not get a place in the Real Madrid A-side. The places were taken by foreign ... Read Full Story
