Sweet apples cooked and pureed are an excellent sweet treat for baby. Introduce just the pureed apples first, then you can make this delicious treat with a little added cinnamon.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. any variety sweet apples
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Method
- Peel, core, and cut the apples in uniform pieces. Then place the apples into a saucepan and add just enough water to cover. Add cinnamon. Bring to boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium and continue to cook until very tender.
- Then remove from heat and use a submersible blender to puree. Pureeing can also be done in batches in the blender. Let mixture cool, then poor into ice cube trays, be careful not to overfill individual ice cube compartments. Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight, then you can store each baby food cube in zippered freezer bags.
