Red-back spiders are potentially dangerous and common throughout Australia. Although its origins are uncertain, they may have been spread by human activity during the 19th century. They are now found in all but the most inhospitable environments in Australia, and particularly in urban and suburban areas.

It may sound like a scene from "Arachnaphobia," but unlike the badly made movie about human hungry spiders, this story, is true. But don't freak out, ravenous spiders aren't storming the halls of a hospital at warp speed devouring whatever is in their path, at least not yet. The hospital in the outback of Queensland is taking precautions to ensure the red-back spider infestation in their hospital doesn't get out of hand. The hospital will evacuate its patients and close it's doors temporarily to allow pest controllers to fumigate the 10-bed multipurpose hospital. Kat , who needs no introduction, tells me today that the Google bots are out and about, checking blogs for hits and traffic and lord knows what else they check for to determine ranking. But her more exact words, the spiders are crawling. Which is really creepy, if you think about it for more than 10 seconds.
