Indy is still perfect. Barely. Colts running back Joseph Addai scored the go-ahead touchdown with 7:11 left Sunday, and Houston's Kris Brown missed a 42-yard field goal as time expired, keeping Indianapolis undefeated and its winning streak intact with a 20-17 victory. Indy is the fourth team in league history with 17 straight wins. New England has done it twice and Chicago did it in 1933-34. Jim Caldwell became the first rookie coach to go 8-0 since Potsy Clark in 1930. The Colts now have a commanding 3 1/2-game lead over Houston (5-4) in the AFC South, too. Indy blew a 13-0 first-half lead ... Read Full Story

The undefeated Colts heard all week about how the upstart Texans were going to take advantage of Indy’s recent injuries to hand them their first loss of the season. Someone must have forgot to tell Peyton Manning about that. Manning led a first half Colts charge, building a 13-0 lead, then rallying with a fourth quarter TD from Joseph Addai to top Houston 20-17. The defense sealed the deal late, as with Houston driving towards what could have been a game-tying field goal, the defense stopped the Texans at the 24, and Kris Brown missed a 42-yard field goal as time expired to save ... The recent discussion about whether or not LeBron James would make it as an NFL player, got me thinking about how another NBA player could have had an impact in the NFL, specifically for the Colts.   As we all remember, the 1998 Draft forced Bill Polian to choose between Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf.  We all know in hindsight that picking Peyton was the right move, it wasn't such a sure bet at the time.  The only thing that could have made...

I mean, I can’t say enough about Reggie Wayne,’’ Belichick said. "That guy is the best receiver we cover every year and it seems like he just keeps getting better. I thought the routes he ran and the catches he made were nothing short of spectacular, with the go route, the two touchdown catches, the third-down conversion on the corner route in front of our bench. He’s a tremendous receiver and he had some production against us.’’ Bill...
