BBC Radio 1 has announced headline changes to its weekend schedule, with Vernon Kay and Reggie Yates leaving the station. Elsewhere, Sara Cox will move to present the 10am – 1pm weekday slot currently fronted by Fearne Cotton, who is set to go on maternity leave. Jameela Jamil will become the first solo female presenter of the Sunday Chart Show in its history, replacing Yates. The changes will come into effect at the beginning of January.
