On Monday I attended the Black Kids & The Virgins at the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia. So, I may need to admit, I've become slightly obsessed with the Black Kids. They are really tearing up the charts in England selling tons of records but I don't think their home county has quite caught...think the Cure meets B-52s. It’s quite bizarre that a U.S. band, particularly from the deep south, an area that spawns cringing crunk hip-hop, has had more success in the UK. It’s a mystery.
