BELFAST, Northern Ireland, Nov. 22 (UPI) --
Two men crashed a car carrying a 400-pound bomb through barriers at Belfast police headquarters but it only partially exploded, authorities said Sunday.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said in a statement the men fled the vehicle after driving it through the barriers Saturday night but only a small explosion followed about 30 minutes later, CNN reported.

Samson and Goliath – two of the best-known biblical figures – dominate the Belfast skyline.
They aren’t massive statues, not even duelling giants, instead the names refer to the gigantic, yellow shipbuilding gantry cranes that tower over the city’s Harland & Wolff shipyard.

It was with great regret that the residents association learnt of the demolition of the cottages at 2-4 Station Road.
The Residents Association successfully lobbied for a spot listing which expired on the 16th January 2009 and the cottages were demolished on the next working day.
