Renee Zellweger Gets Asked Daily About a 3rd 'Bridget Jones'

Alec Baldwin joked at the Elle Women in Hollywood lunch yesterday that he would crush Renee Zellweger if he slept with her because she's so tiny. She might have had to gain a bunch of weight for her roles in Bridget Jones, but she's skinny as a rail these days, though rumors are spreading about the possibility of a third movie for the series.

The actress has refused to confirm a third instalment of the Bridget Jones franchise is in the works. It had been reported the actress, who put on 30lbs for 2004’s Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, was likely to star as the unlucky-in-love British heroine again, and was even considering wearing a fat suit to avoid having to pile on the pounds again.

Asked about the film, she said: “I don't know! Isn't that funny? I get asked that every single day and I don't know anything. It's like a rumor!"

There's another rumor floating around about a stage version of the movie. Renee said she'd be game, but there's just no time. She said: "Yeah, but are you going to put my schedule together? When am I going to see my parents? When am I going to go on a date? When am I going to have Christmas?"
