The film, which stars Milla Jovovich, Oded Fehr, Sienna Guillory and Mike Epps, was released in North America on September 10, 2004 and October 21, 2004 in Australia. The film grossed $ 51,201,453 domestically and $129,394,835 worldwide. A third movie in the tetralogy is set for release on September 7, 2007 titled Resident Evil: Extinction.
