Email This Post                        Print This Post by Peter Jolly The release date for Resident Evil: Afterlife has been pushed back from mid-2010 to early 2011. The fourth installment from the Resident Evil franchise was due to be released around August/September next year, filming is currently underway. The reason given for the delay is that Resident Evil: Afterlife will be produced in 3D, by the same team working on James Cameron’s Avatar no less. This series of mutant monsters and zombie rampages is now on its fourth installment. Resident Evil: Afterlife , orignally slated for August 2010, has now been pushed back to January 2011. Anderson came on board and created a franchise that didn’t find its inherent b-movie soul until ... Read Full Story

The fourth Resident Evil movie, subtitled Afterlife , may have hit a snag. Shock Till Ya Drop reports that the 3-D needed to make the film ("needed" is a negotiable word in this instance, I'll grant you) might be causing a few problems with the production, although it's nothing that can't be ironed out with just a little more time. Instead of an August 2010 release date, Shock says it may wait until January 2011. Ah, January, the dead zone. What better time for a movie with the undead, really? But Milla Jovovich rushed out a Tweet saying talk of a delay, while possible, ... Read Full Story
