Resident Evil 4 In Development? Set for 2010

So we have heard a rumor floating around this may be true, Paul W.S. Anderson was writing a script but apparently there is some truth to it. Originally we thought the franchise was over after Extinction but since the games continue why not the movies?

ShockTillYouDrop.com has reported that Sony’s Screen Gems banner is planning a September 17, 2010 release for Resident Evil 4, which is being titled Resident Evil: Afterlife. The third film, Resident Evil: Extinction, left the door wide open for another installment, which will take place in Tokyo, Japan.

Well I can’t say i am super excited for this but then again zombies are cool.  I wasn’t a fan of the third film and its story so it will be interesting to see what they come up with for the fourth film. Not to mention the subtitle, Afterlife, sounds kinda stupid.
