A man has been charged with murder in the shooting of a pastor at a church in Illinois .
According to the Belleville News Democrat , Terry J. Sedlacek , 27, was charged with first degree murder and aggravated battery by Madison County prosecutors.
He was charged with the murder of Rev. Fred Winters on Sunday morning at the First Baptist Church in Maryville . The battery charges were for stabbing two parishioners who tried to stop him.

Senior Pastor Fred Winters was standing in the pulpit when a man in dark clothes fired at the pastor four times before slashing himself. Two other parishioners were injured when they tried to subdue the gunman.
