On February 12, 2009 the Reverend Christopher A. Layden was exonerated of drug dealing charges at the University of Illinois. In an arranged plea agreement between Champaign County State's Attorney Dan Clifton and Layden's attorney Mark Lipton, the Honorable Judge Klem sentenced Layden with felony drug charges for possession of cocaine sentencing him to four years of probation and 150 hours of community service.
