Climate conscious students plan to harness wind energy for fun on Thursday, October 22nd, flying kites on the Campus Center lawn. They hope to raise awareness and show their support for conscious solutions to the world's energy needs. The Kite Rally, organized by Members of the Asian Student Alliance and MassPIRG, starts on the campus center lawn at 2pm.  

It is Katelin Carter's goal to see kites flying in the sky over University Green. As founder of the Ball State Kite Flying Society, Carter, a sophomore photojournalism major, along with the 81 members of the group, have taken steps this month to become an official campus club.  

Indianapolis-based Kite Realty Group Trust (NYSE: KRG) is reporting funds from operations (FFO) of $2.8 million for the third quarter of 2009, including a non-cash impairment charge of $5.4 million. Excluding the charge, FFO was $8.2 million, compared to $12.0 million in the third quarter of 2008. The Sugar Loaf Engine Co. was on hand offering hot refreshments and residents enjoyed hanging out in the open space. The Bellvale community helped with kites as passersby stopped to take in the scenic view.

I have about 5 different kites. They were in storage for a while but I took them out again this summer. I was ashamed that I forgot how to assemble my stunt kite - was glad I had some others with me so I could fly those. The one kite I bought that...
