The game of Bingo is coming back to Willcox. The Willcox City Council recently approved a bingo license application by the Rex Allen Arizona Cowboy Museum, Inc.  

The old story of "Local Boy Makes Good" is being celebrated in Willcox for the 58th year, but this year we are also celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the opening of the Rex Allen Arizona Cowboy Museum.  

"If you have ever or never enjoyed the charm of an annual small-town celebration, we have a classic example for all ages right here in Willcox, original home of a famous singing cowboy," said Peggy Judd, committee president of the Rex Allen Days.

The Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo Association has co-sanctioned with Colorado, New Mexico and California bringing cowboys and cowgirls from all the four corners to Willcox. Event winners will receive beautiful custom Bill Hill trophy buckles and All-Around buckles will be awarded to the top cowboy and cowgirl for the weekend.

The just released "Images of America: Willcox," combines selected photographs from 1880 to the early 1950s depicting the cattle town's rich western history, including "true tales of Apache Indians, train robberies and shootings."  

Willcox FFA chapter survived two busy weeks starting with the Cochise County Fair in Douglas. Many chapter members participated in the fair.

The Willcox City Council recently approved spending more on the current Community Center project.
