For fans of Rex Grossman and the Chicago Bears. Rex Grossman is a quarterback and has been in the NFL for 4 seasons. His fan base is erroding, with weaker and weaker performances for the Bears recently. Lets hope he turns things around on offense.
With quarterbacks dropping like flies around the National Football League, speculation is starting to grow about the trade market for quarterbacks with the deadline approaching. Today’s Chicago Tribune is reporting that now Bears backup Rex Grossman might just be available. Grossman was replaced two weeks ago by Brian Griese, and with a win under his belt, is appears that Griese is the starter to stay for now for the Bears.
There are plenty of teams around the league with injured... Read Full Story
Goodbye Rex Grossman and hello Brian Griese. The Chicago Bears’ quarterback experiment appears to be over for now; their running game could stand some improvement, however. They look to get a better effort from the running game as they take on the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field this Sunday. The defending NFC champions are coming off a 27-20 upset of the Green Bay Packers last Sunday night. Meanwhile, the Vikings are coming off a bye week.
It looks like quarterback Tarvaris Jackson... Read Full Story
I’m a strong believer the Chicago Bears coaching staff along with all Rex Grossman bashers deserve a nice kick in the mouth. I’ve been a supporter of Rex Grossman since his days at Florida University and it was nice to see Grossman bounce back and possibly regain his starting job. Just to recap Grossman was inserted into the game for an injured Brian Griese who was leveled on a linebacker blitz that should’ve been picked up by Cedric Benson. Yes, Grossman did fumble his first snap from center... Read Full Story
It was December 18, 2005 and the second half of a game against the Atlanta Falcons that Rex Grossman relieved a struggling Kyle Orton at quarterback.
Orton had went 2 for 10 for 12 yards for the game, when Rex Grossman entered the game to a thunderous roar of the crowd. The excitement was all over the stadium, and on the field. You could see the posture of all of the players on offense change when Grossman came in. It was like their body language said, now we are going to play, we have a... Read Full Story
In the most obvious move of the year, the Chicago Bears are going to try and save their season, and they are not going to allow it to be in the hands of now former starter Rex Grossman. Coach Lovie Smith, realizing that at 1-2 the wheels could come off real quick, is finally making a move to sit Grossman, and according to NFL Network will give the ball to former Broncos, Dolphins and even Bucs starter Brian Griese Sunday when the Bears battle the Lions at Ford Field.
Grossman in a word... Read Full Story
Bears quarterback Rex Grossman must have not been watching the same games that everyone else was over the last three weeks. How else could you explain his remarks yesterday after learning that he was no longer the starting QB for the Bears, and that he was going to be replaced by Brian Griese? Grossman seemed shocked at the notion that coach Lovie Smith would sit him after going 1-2 and throwing six interceptions in three games.
“I was surprised but [felt] frustration... Read Full Story
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." - Thomas Alva Edison I'm not sure the number is 10,000, but Chicago Bears Rex Grossman is doing a fine job of finding ways that don't work: throwing into triple coverage, off the wrong foot, etc, etc. To say he sucks is an understatement. He's a joke. The laughing stock of the league. To think that he's actually a starting quarterback in the NFL is beyond me. His performance last night brought back visions of Rick Meirer, PT... In what has been a recurring theme in Chicagoland, Chicago Bears quarterback Rex Grossman is stating his case for keeping his job. But after last night’s horrendous effort against the Dallas Cowboys, Grossman may be relegated to reserve status. The big question - repetitive as it has been - remained constant: Will Grossman start next Sunday against the Lions?
On Monday, Bears head coach Lovie Smith told Andrew Seligman of the Associated Press, “Will Rex Grossman start Sunday? Well, our... Read Full Story

Woodall: While I did enjoy the success of the Cowboys, I am completely and totally baffled at what Lovie Smith is doing. I can think of a handful of quarterbacks over the last several years (David Carr, Mark Brunell, Jake Plummer, etc.) that were yanked from the starting spot because of sub par play. I can’t figure out why Grossman is any different. Why is Lovie is so sold on Grossman being his guy? At what point (if any) does... Read Full Story
Well, it's all happening again. Rex Grossman's critics have already started in on the starting quarterback of the Chicago Bears.
Many of you remember my column last year "Rex Grossman's Critics Are Idiots." I'm here to tell you that they are all STILL idiots!
In my first column (written at 4am on Ambien) I showed you that in spite of the criticism Grossman had a stellar first year as a Read Full Story
