Former Bears quarterback Rex Grossman is currently the backup to Matt Schaub in Houston, but that doesn’t mean his father doesn’t still watch the Chicago Bears. His father Dan quickly defended Jay Cutler and compared it to how Rex was in his time with the Bears. Former Bears quarterback Rex Grossman signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans today. The deal is worth the veteran minimum, $620,000. He was the second quarterback to lead the Bears to a super bowl. You can say all you want that he was on for the ride in 2006, but he was still the quarterback of a Super Bowl team. Well, just about everyone I have encountered while researching the Bears draft have mentioned the Jay Cutler trade in their evaluation. I think that is fair, because let’s face it, it affected the draft. As we know, the Bears have several glaring needs. I've decided to browse some mock draft sites, which have the Bears down around the 10 or 11 spot in the first round order, and there are some interesting ideas.
