Rhonda McCullough, wife of the late comedian Bernie Mac, has filed a wrongful-death suit against Mac’s dermatologist Dr. Rene M. Earles. For 20 years Earles regularly treated lesions on Mac caused by his inflammatory lung disease, sarcoidosis. Bernie Mac 's widow, Rhonda McCullough , is blaming her late husband's former dermatologist, Dr. Rene Earles , for the comedian's death. According to TMZ, McCullough filed a wrongful death suit against Earles in a Chicago Circuit Court and is asking for $50,000 in damages. The widow of the late actor/comedian Bernie Mac has filed a wrongful death suit against the doctor who was caring for Mac shortly before he died in 2008. Bernie Mac married Rhonda McCullough in 1977. They had one daughter, Je'Niece (born 1978), who attended Xavier University of Louisiana, where she received both her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. She is married with one daughter, Jasmine.
