Ricky Gervais insists his pride at making The Office was “ruined” by the riches it brought him.
The proud working-class funnyman made it clear during an interview that he has a hard-time dealing with wealth.
He complained about his show saw him earning “paid a million times a nurse’s wages”. And he insists that making good money from the show destroyed some of the joy he felt for having made it.

Actor/comedian Ricky Gervais promises to keep his Golden Globes monologue tasteful but won’t be afraid of a little “gentle ribbing” at the expense of other major names.
