Ringette is a team sport. much like hockey, only the sticks we use to play with have no blade. instead, there is a metal tip on the end of it. instead of a puck, a blue, rubber ring is used. players spear the ring with the tip of their stick. The object of the game is the same as in hockey. players must move the ring from one end of the ice to the other, while trying to score goals. one thing. the ring needs to be passed over the two blue lines on the ice surface. Teams play with five skaters and a goalie on the ice at a time. two defense, 2 forwards , a centerman, and of course a goalie. IT is a fun. action packed team sport, played primarily by girls. it is exciting to watch... most of the time.
