(Getty Images)more pics »Musician Rivers Cuomo was injured in a bus crash on Sunday December 6, 2009. Cuomo is the lead singer of the rock band Weezer. He is being treated for rib pain at the St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, New York.
The accident occured while Cuomo's bus was commuting from Toronto, Ontario, to Boston, Massachusetts, for a live show scheduled for Monday night at the Agganis Arena at Boston University. The band has not yet announced whether or not the Monday gig will go on. Snow and ice may have been the cause of the bus accident. The driver claims that the bus slid uncontrollably.
Police announced that they do not suspect drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
