Rob Lowe is a well known American actor who became famous in the 80's with such movies as St. Elmo's Fire and The Outsiders. Since then he has appeared in such cult classics as Wayne's World and the Austin Powers trilogy. Lowe also appeared on the well-known television series The West Wing as Sam Seaborn, and can currently be seen on the series Brothers and Sisters. He is married to Sheryl Berkoff, they have two sons and reside in Montecito, CA.
Rob Lowe vs. his nanny: He said, she said
The Rob Lowe nanny scandal has officially turned into a case of "he said, she said."
She said: Jessica Gibson claims that between September 2005 and January 2008 while she was working for the Lowe family. Jessica said Rob "placed his hand inside Gibson's pants in order to touch her crotch" and "grabbed Gibson's buttocks without consent." Gibson also claims she feared Lowe would "attempt to further sexually assault her."
The nanny's attorney Gloria Allred says the Lowe family tried to "hide behind" confidentiality clauses that Gibson signed.
He said: Rob Lowe says that Gibson blackmailed he and his family for $1.5 million. In a statement read on "Today," Rob Lowe's lawyer Larry Stein said, "An investigation of dozens of present and former employees has failed to find one single person to verify her allegations. The allegations in the complaint are simply untrue."
