The owner of Real Salt Lake is selling a stake in the soccer team to a Utah real-estate developer. Team owner Dave Checketts is praising his new partner, Dell Loy Hansen, for making a "bold" commitment. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed Wednesday. The Salt Lake Tribune says Hansen bought a 49 percent stake in the team. RSL spokesman Trey Fitz-Gerald told The Associated Press that Checketts and Hansen are being referred to as co-owners and that the organization will not discuss specific figures or amounts. Andy Williams and Fabian Espindola scored and Real Salt Lake kept its Major League Soccer playoff hopes alive with a 2-0 victory over the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday night. Williams received a perfect cross from Robbie Findley in the 80th minute and beat goalkeeper Danny Cepero for his second goal of the season. Yura Movsisyan scored twice and Real Salt Lake took advantage of an own goal by FC Dallas' Daniel Torres to rally from a two-goal deficit and earn a 4-2 victory Friday night. With the score tied at 2, Real Salt Lake (6-7-5) took the lead when Fabian Espindola's cross hit off Torres and into the goal. San Jose forward Cornell Glen scored in a 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake on Saturday that ended the Earthquakes' losing streak at five. Arturo Alvarez tallied on a 30-yard strike to the upper corner and Michael Zaher added a pair of assists for San Jose (2-7-2), which hadn't won since March 28.
