Review: Big Mystery—Why Isn't Sherlock Holmes a Better Movie?

From:  eonline.com
Review in a Hurry: Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are effortlessly charming as a more action-oriented Holmes and Watson than we're used to. They belong in a better movie than the one Guy Ritchie has actually made. The Bigger Picture: For the first half hour or so of this new big-screen adventure featuring the literary world's most famous detective, all seems to be going right. Hans Zimmer's score is so perfect you'll think it has always been Holmes' theme, Downey's take on Sherlock as... Read Full Story

Sherlock Holmes Sequel Talk

From:  filmshaft.com
Read all abart it! Read all abart it! Cor blimey Guv, would you Adam and Eve it? The flicker ain’t even bin shown yet, an’ already the main geezers are talkin’ abart a bloomin’ sequel. Okay, I’ll knock off the Mockney patois. Now for some serious (kind of) news: Guy Ritchie’s attempt at big budget filmmaking – Sherlock Holmes – released worldwide on either Christmas Day or Boxing Day depending where you are in the world is apparently so good there’s talk of sequels already. Sherlock Holmes Review

From:  filmshaft.com
We all know what happened the last time Guy Ritchie decided to stray from his comfort zone. The result was Swept Away and the least said about that cinematic travesty, the better. It’s plainly obvious that Ritchie isn’t to everybody’s taste either. Regarded by many as a Mockney with a big ego, he seems to anger as many critics as those who embrace him. I quite liked Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and really enjoyed Snatch. Rock N’ Rolla was a blast to watch, too. I don’t think Guy... Read Full Story

Dr.Watson’s Horrible Experiences On ‘Sherlock Holmes’ Costumes

From:  gossipvita.com
The British actor – who portrays the title character’s sidekick Watson in the Guy Ritchie blockbuster – was left uncomfortable and hungry while wearing the old-fashioned attire because the restricting collar meant it was difficult for him to swallow his lunch. It was like trying to swallow sushi with... Read Full Story
