Why We Want You to Be Rich: Two Men - One Message Overview

Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki are both concerned. Their concern is that the rich are getting richer but America is getting poorer. Like the polar ice caps, the middle class is disappearing. America is becoming a two-class society.

Soon you will be either rich or poor. Donald and Robert want you to be rich.

The world is facing many challenges and one of them is financial. The entitlement mentality is epidemic, creating people who expect their countries, employers, or families to take care of them. Trump and Kiyosaki, both successful businessmen, are natural teachers who share a passion for education. They have joined forces to address these challenges, because they believe you cannot solve money problems with money. You can only solve money problems with financial education. Trump and Kiyosaki want to teach you to be rich. Why We Want You To Be Rich was written for you.

REHASH - SAMO - Joseph H. Race - SAIPAN, MP United States
There's probably not much new in in the world of business -most up-to-date business books cover the same principles. In this case, however, we hear from two successful guys who have done well and know about financial literacy, and how to cope in the modern markets. One of the more interesting chapters is 'Why do some people who want to be rich fail to become rich?' There's good assessment and discussion here about bad habits and poor attitudes, lack of focus and courage, not having the right kind of education, etc. There's no doubt these businessmen can be good teachers, and they are trying to help you become rich. One trait that I admire in every vocation, be an artist, writer, or business guru, is the involvement of "passion' of what you do and the enjoyment of being in the game, and these guys have it. Not the best of books but worth reading or perusing to pick up the important ideas and principles.

A marketing brochure, not a book. - Dinos - Australia
Great little marketing brochure for both authors.
Can be summarized as:

- Get a financial education (ie. buy Rob's books, games, or hire one of his coaches)
- The authors are so happy and rich, and you should want to be like them.
- Ignore all traditional common sense advice such as saving, removing debt and living within your means.
- You can get rich doing what you love, but you need "financial education" (see point 1 above).

Why you should read this book - Steve Burns - Nashville, TN
I consider Robert Kiyosaki to be one of my financial mentors through his books (I have read eleven of them). His book Rich Dad, Poor Dad really educated me on the principles and mind set of the rich versus the poor. His writings deeply changed the way I thought permanently about how to build wealth. I was thrilled to see Mr. Kiyosaki team up with the greatest real estate genius of the 20th century and write this book. In my opinion, Donald Trump is a genius for buying some of the most coveted real estate in the world then "creating" real estate by building up on his properties to create condos to sell as units and hotels to sell by the room.
This book is not a how to book, it is simply filled with advice from both authors on how to think like the rich, act like the rich, and build a business you are passionate about. Robert does not believe in the mantra of live beneath your means, save, and get out of debt (Unless you just want to be an employee your whole life). Both authors want you to expand your means through good investments and creating cash flow from businesses or real estate. You can either choose "security" through employment, if that is even possible in the 21st century. Or you can choose freedom and opportunity through being an entrepreneur. These principles are explained and examined through out the book.
I was shocked to read Mr. Kiyosaki's predictions about the dangers of derivatives in the financial markets, his investing in gold, silver, and oil companies as a hedge against inflation betting on the devaluation of the dollar because of out of control spending by politicians (This book was written in 2006 before the financial meltdown, and the boom in oil prices in 2008, and gold reaching all time highs in 2009 and 2010!) Also both authors discussed the inevitable bankruptcy of General Motors, once again this was years before it actually happened). Robert also warns about investing in mutual funds explaining how the mutual fund companies make all the profit while the investor takes on all the risk and has little control over the outcome of the investment. This book is just a great read for those interested in how the wealthy think, finance, business, and world markets. It is a trip into the mind of a billionaire and millionaire where they share what they have learned that made them successful and they give advice to those that want to follow their path. The rating on this book is tricky, if this is the first Kiyosaki or Trump book you have read and you are a beginner in this genre of personal finance this book could be a 5 star book for you, if you are an advanced student of business or read the authors previous books you will probably be unhappy with the books rehashing of the same principles found in other books and find the book far to simple for your tastes. That is the reason I put off buying this book until I could get it for out of a bargain bin. Beginners buy it, Kiyosaki and Trump fans buy it for your library. Those looking for some fresh financial meat look else where
