Robert Novak Cited For Hitting Pedestrian In DC
Robert Novak struck a pedestrian with his Corvette in Washington, DC.
Robert Novak, a political columnist and pundit was cited for striking a pedestrian in downtown Washington, DC. He was fined $50.00 by District of Columbia police for the incident that left a man in his 60's with minor injuries.
Mr. Novak denied knowing that he had struck someone and said he was only made aware of the accident when a bike messenger caught up with him. He said, "(The bike messenger was) shouting at me that I couldn't just hit people and drive away. But I didn't know I'd hit him. I really didn't have any idea it happened until they flagged me down and told me."

The accident happened at around 10 AM this morning when Novak was traveling northbound on 18th Street NW near K Street. Witnesses and the bike messenger contacted authorities and the man was taken to George Washington University Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Robert Novak was driving his 2004 black Chevrolet Corvette at the time, so despite being 77 he still enjoys fast sports cars. Perhaps Mr. Novak should be given a fresh driver's exam to see if he should be driving at all. I know many 77 year olds that had their driving privileges revoked because of declining vision and slow reaction times that could make them a danger to themselves or others when behind the wheel of a car. Bob Novak should be no exception.
Bob Novak is a Conservative that believes in small government and low taxes. He recently celebrated 45 years as a columnist and a reporter.
