Robert Paulison is Administrator, USFA. According to whitehouse.gov: From 1992 until 2001, Robert Paulison served as Fire Chief of Miami-Dade County. He had been with the Miami-Dade County Fire Department for twenty-one years. He also directed the Miami-Dade County Office of Emergency Management. In 1997, he was appointed to the Civil Integration Response Panel of the Defense Science Board, a Department of Defense group that is comprised of emergency response experts. Robert is the Past President of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and is currently on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University.

RIMS to Host Webinar on Sept. 9

The Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) will host a webinar titled FEMA and Disaster Aid to Public Entities on Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 1-2 p.m. EST to address and clarify the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) new policy towards reimbursing public entities for repetitive loss claims.

Panelists include Scott Clark, risk and benefits officer at Miami-Dade County Public Schools; Terry Fleming, director of the division of risk management at Montgomery County, Maryland; and James Walke, director of FEMA’s public assistance division.
