Filed under: NY Giants , Packers , Patriots , NFL Fans , NFL Playoffs Green Bay defensive end Aaron Kampman seems like a swell guy, unassuming off the field, but wreaking havoc from his defensive end position. The Packers host the Giants this weekend, and it will be the second time the teams will meet this season. In Week 2, Green Bay travelled to New York to put a 35-13 whupping on the Giants, but Kampman remembers the game for a different reason: New York center Shaun O’Hara clocked him in the back of the head after the whistle. In the locker room afterwards, ... Read Full Story

Filed under: Patriots , Redskins , Boston , Washington, DC The Patriots destroyed the Redskins 52-7 today, and as you might expect with a final score like that, there are some folks saying the Patriots ran up the score. One of those folks is Redskins linebacker Randall Godfrey. According to Tom Curran of NBC Sports , Godfrey expressed extreme displeasure to Patriots coach Bill Belichick after the game. “I said something to (Belichick) after the game,” Godfrey said to NBCSports.com. “I told him, ‘You need to show some respect for the game.’ You just don’t do that. I don’t care how bad it is. ... Read Full Story

Filed under: Patriots , NFL Fans , NFL Coaching Patriots head coach Bill Belichick gives us a glimpse behind the hoodie in this interview with NBCSports.com’s Tom Curran. It’s about as boring as you might expect a Belichick Q and A to be, but it is also oddly fascinating. Curran avoids the predictable football-related questions, and instead touches on just about everything else. For instance, the late Dave Halberstam wrote “Education of a Coach,” a biography of the New England head coach, and here’s what Belichick had to say about his relationship with Halberstam : “A good [relationship]. We talked a lot. It was ... Read Full Story

Filed under: Bengals , Patriots , AFC East , AFC North Unlike most weeks, Bengals wideout Chad Johnson abstained from the midweek smack-talking. Once he found out Rodney Harrison would miss the game (he’s serving a four-game suspension for cheating testing positive for HGH), Johnson quipped: “Then I don’t have any messages [for the Pats].” (Mr. Cinco’s also not planning a touchdown celebration because the team is 1-2.) Instead, he described the Cincinnati-New England Monday night game as a chess match, and even shared his thoughts on the whole PatriotGate situation that has seemingly blown over as quickly as it blew up. “That videotaping ... Filed under: Patriots , NFL Injuries , Boston The Patriots yesterday placed defensive lineman Richard Seymour on the physically unable to perform list, meaning he’ll miss, at minimum, the first six weeks of the season . That news came just a day after it was announced that safety Rodney Harrison is suspended for the first four games of the season for admitting to using human growth hormone . That all means the defense of the consensus Super Bowl favorites will be a far cry from what it was expected to be, at least at the start of the season. Seymour is the Patriots’ best ... NEW ORLEANS – With one pinpoint throw after another, Drew Brees put New Orleans’ pursuit of perfection into overdrive and left Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the dust. Brees threw for a season-high 371 yards and five touchdowns, carving up coach Bill Belichick’s defense like few quarterbacks ever have in the Saints’ 38-17 victory Monday night.
