Initial reports that Rodney King has been shot in the face with a bullet have proven to be the result of bad reporting. The story is wrong folks. Initially reports said that King had been shot with bullet(s) and in the face. Neither is in fact true, says LA Times. Since then, LA Times has reported it was not bullets but merely pellets shot from a shotgun. Rodney King known for the LA Police beating he recieved back in 1991 which sparked the LA Riots was shot today. It was reported he was shot in the face, arms, back and torso. It is being said after he got shot he bicycled home before calling the police. It is also being said he was or had been drinking and was not cooperative with the police when they arrived. Rodney King that was badly beaten in 1991 by Los Angeles police, which caused the LA riot of 1992, has been shot, TMZ is reporting. He was shot and wounded on a San Bernardino street corner late Wednesday. King called Rialto police just before midnight to report the shooting. According to Sgt. Don Lewis, King was struck in the face and arm -- with what appeared to be pellets or birdshot. When police arrived at King's home, they reported that King and others inside appeared drunk.
