Longtime Milpitas resident Roger Smith Sr. died peacefully at home Dec. 11, 2011 at the age of 83. Mr. Smith was born in Houston, but relocated to the Bay Area in the mid-1940s. He married Gladys Brown in 1951 and moved to Milpitas in 1962.
