Roman Polanski (born 18 August 1933) is a Polish actor and director best known for the films "The Pianist" and "Chinatown," among others. He was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl named Samantha Geimer in 1977, but he fled to France before he was sentenced for the crime. In 2009 he was arrested again in Switzerland for the same crime.
