In an old fashioned NFC Central battle in Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers once again proved their worth to the rest of the NFC South, outlasting old rival Minnesota 19-13 at Raymond James Stadium. Matt Bryant kicked four field goals, including two in the final 5:36 for the margin of victory. The Bucs D stepped up on the final Minnesota drive as Chester Taylor fumbled after an 11-yard gain that Ronde Barber recovered to preserve the win. Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com in his NFC South blog has five players on the hot seat in the division this year, and two Bucs have made the list: Ronde Barber, cornerback, Tampa Bay. Buccaneers CB Ronde Barber, discussing the need for younger players to step up and become leaders, as quoted in the Sarasota Herald Tribune: “I talked to ‘Rah’ (first-year head coach Raheem Morris) a lot this offseason, and one of the things we got out of it is that new leaders need to emerge.
