The Miami Dolphins offense just went from being a punishing wildcat to a cuddly, yarn batting kitten. Or has it? Today's news that star RB Ronnie Brown has been put on IR for the remainder of the season after suffering a foot injury in last Sunday's Tampa Bay game, couldn't come at a worse time.  Not that there is ever a good time to find out that your best player is out for good, but when a team finds less than 48 hours before their next game...  

With Ronnie Brown out, the Dolphins will need to find ways to move the ball other than the Wildcat with Brown as the focul point. If they want to use the Wildcat Ricky Williams is going to have to be the one taking snaps. I know Ricky is not Ronnie but he is still a great runner. The only problem is that instead of sitting back and improvising like only Brown can do, Williams will probably have to use designed plays and blocks more than Ronnie...  

The 2009 NFL season for the Miami Dolphins is a far cry from the 2007 and 2008 seasons.
