Rose McGowan Breaks Off Engagement to Robert Rodriguez

Former Charmed star Rose McGowan has split from her fiance director Robert Rodriguez for the second time since they became engaged in October 2007. Rose and Robert have yet to release a statement explaining the reason for the break-up.

The pair met in 2007 when the 36-year-old actress starred in Rodriguez's film Planet Terror. After a whirlwind romance, Rodriguez divorced his wife of 16 years and proposed to Rose. The pair split less than one year later, only to reconcile after a few months apart. They were reportedly planning to wed this year.

If the split is permanent, the couple are likely to have a difficult few months ahead -- Rose is appearing in Rodriguez's upcoming films Machete and Red Sonja, which he is producing.

The director is not the first man Rose has had second thoughts about. She also backed out of her two-year engagement to Marilyn Manson in 2001 due to "lifestyle differences."
