RoseMary Shell: Wayne Gibbs didn't dump me over my debts.

RoseMary Shell, the woman who sued her ex-fiancee, Wayne Gibbs, for jilting her three days before her wedding, claimed on the Today Show that Gibbs did not leave her out of panic over her debts (as is being reported on many blogs). She claims that she had "discussed [her] debts" with Gibbs many times before the engagement, and that he was fully aware of what she owed. Also, she's going to get some cash for that ring.

My favorite line there was when Adam Sandler's ex-fiance came to his house to apologize for calling off the wedding on the day itself, he screamed "this should have been brought to my attention before the wedding!", something like that ;-). A jury awarded $150,000 to RoseMary Shell, forcing her ex-fiance, Wayne Gibbs to pay for breaking up with her. So we continue the sexism in our courts. In relationships, men pay. If they decide not to get married, they get sued. If they stray, they pay. Women clearly think men owe them money if men don’t do what they are told.
