I like this man. Do you suppose some spotless  missionary with out 2 cents to rub together would be well recieved as Mayor of New York City?   Rudolph made lots of money in the Financial markets. I would point out. Such is perfectly legal to do. But the real strength iof this man was his so called DROP IN THE BUCKET CHANGES  he tried to introduce. And in fact he did introduce.  Called a liberal because he did away with many nickel  and dime   thorns that served no purpose except to Harrass New York Businessmen. These so called "drops in the bucket" were in ... Read Full Story

Recently Mayor Bloomberg was visiting a school and expressing concerns over Childhood Obesity.  I would like to give you the skinny on that.A sort of "I"m gonna blow the lid of the mis-information"  There is the G. E. in the human condition.  In short if your Dad was a drunken sod the abberation of that gets past to the child. The child is "Slow" and backwards in school. In a free enterprise system some are wealthy, ussually the result of hard work.  Some are not so wealthy, and many are just barely hanging in there. This is not  discrimination.  It's the reward of those with more talent and ability than others earning more money.   Nickel and dime attacks cut across all  lines. It's this little item, and that little item, and now you have this fee, and ... Read Full Story

From Publishers Weekly This highly anticipated book from New York’s once controversial, now beloved former mayor opens with a gripping account of Giuliani’s immediate reaction to the September 11 attacks, including a narrow escape from the original crisis command headquarters, and closes with the efforts to address the aftermath during his remaining four months in office. But, he argues, he did not suddenly become a great leader on September 11, and “had been doing [my] best to take on challenges my whole career.” The bulk of the book draws on his experiences as a corporate lawyer and U.S. attorney and then as mayor. The ... Read Full Story

. The “ Mayor of the Country ” is back…maybe. Nineteen months after ending his disastrous run for the presidency, Rudolph W. Giuliani is clearing a path for a possible race for governor in 2010, believing public anger at an ineffectual Albany and unease over the economy could create ideal conditions for a Republican to reclaim the governor’s mansion. Before the election campaign, I sort of liked Giuliani. Perhaps I just didn’t know enough about him but despite his messy personal life, I respected his toughness and his moderate views after having spent time as both a Democrat and a Republican. Now, I think ... Read Full Story
