The world is a little less golden. Bea Arthur, who portrayed Dorothy on “Golden Girls,” died peacefully at her Los Angeles home at the age of 86 with her family at her side. She had cancer.

Goldens Girls star Rue McClanahan has undergone surgery in New York.
The actress went to hospital for a routine physical exam, as she had been experiencing shortness of breath, but her doctor found that she had a heart problem that required bypass surgery.
