Rather, they’re international posters for director Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated Robin Hood. They feature Crowe (apparently fresh off a screening [...]

TheCelebrityCafe.com Staff The trailer for Ridley Scott's Robin Hood starring Russell Crowe first appeared back in July. It was an action-packed, wordless (except for Crowe's battle cries) affair that promised a movie worthy of the Nottingham bandit's name. The newest version of the trailer, released Monday, has more speaking in it and gives the movies a harder sell. Not like it needs it...

Russell Crowe gets down and dirty as the legendary 'Robin Hood' for director Ridley Scott, and we've got a sneak peek at the exciting new epic! In theaters May 2010, 'Robin Hood' marks a much grittier realization of the classic rob-from-the-rich/give-to-the-poor tale. In 13th century England, Robin is an expert archer in the service of King Richard's army against the French. When the king dies, he heads to Nottingham and falls for the spirited...

Or is it Gladiator Hood? Director Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe reunite for this retelling of the classic English folk hero in Robin Hood (really, how long did it take you to come up with that title?). Cate Blanchett, Mark Strong, William Hurt, Matthew MacFadyen, and Danny Huston also star. Scott and Crowe seem poised [...]

But they don't fool Anna PickardWhen a star and a director have enjoyed serious – nay, epic – success together in the past, I can't help but wonder whether sometimes, they meet up for a coffee and try to suss out if the other would be up for joining forces again.So...

One of the many films I’m looking forward to in 2010 is the next Ridley Scott-Russell Crowe pairing for their production of Robin Hood. Aside from the early controversy (if you can call it that) over what the film would actually be about – Nottingham vs. Robin Hood and who’s playing whom – most of our [...]

Robin Hood’s been through so many iterations (our favorite: Cary Elwes’s smirking wiseass, of course) that we’d assumed Ridley Scott would whip together a brand-new take for his big-budget reimagining. What we didn’t realize is that he’d take the opportunity to basically make a Gladiator sequel: In the new international trailer, Russell Crowe does his rampaging Maximus bit again, complete with ferocious sword-wielding and horse-riding...
