Tenderness is an interesting selection by Russell Crowe -- not for the accent or the fact that he's playing another detective. It's just intriguing to see him do something this indie-ish (Lionsgate is releasing it in NYC only this weekend).  

Wait a second, that looks a lot like the photo we used in our trailer article. But then again, who didn't think Universal would whip up posters for Ridley Scott's Robin Hood with Russell Crowe pointing an arrow at somebody. I'm featuring this, thanks to our UK friends at HeyUGuys, because I'm curious about how they're going to market this movie. I have a feeling a poster like this (probably the US version with the same photo) will be the first...

The new trailer for Ridley Scott's Robin Hood makes the classic tale look like child's play (one dead giveaway: no tights in sight). As you might expect, when you reteam Scott with his Gladiator star Russell Crowe, the result is gritty, bloody, and way more hard-edged than the Kevin Costner '90s version. The heavy metal music does feel like it's trying too hard - as one critic points out, it sounds like a car commercial - but I'm liking it. I...  

Last week, the domestic trailer for Robin Hood came online. Now, Universal Pictures has released an international trailer as well with new footage that you can watch here ! Opening in theaters on May 14, the film stars Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Matthew Macfadyen, Mark Strong, Oscar Isaac, Lea Seydoux, Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand, Alan Doyle, Danny Huston and Max von Sydow.
